About:
Healthy Junkies - https://youtu.be/hMfROcrsUNg
Mixing Punk Rock with Grunge, Psychedelic Rock, New Wave, Garage Rock and Goth, add a soupçon of theatre and you have Healthy Junkies. Glamorous yet rebel lead punkster Nina Courson moved to London after she ran away from home to pursue her own rock n roll rite of passage.. Destiny awaited when she found guitarist Phil-Honey-Jones who at the time was in a psychedelic rock - outfit named Nurotica. Phil had left his dysfunctional home as a young lad as well, and the two went on their way seeking solace in the world of music. Naming the band Healthy Junkies, reflecting the mental health epidemic currently spreading like wildfire through the core of the western society.
Rich Ragany And The Digressions - https://youtu.be/Nbm2Ov3YSDc
"...you’re in the capable hands of one of the country’s most engaging frontmen. A unique, hitherto unimaginable combination of David Lee Roth and Greg Dulli, his unpredictable onstage storytelling has become legendary" - Vive Le Rock Magazine
The Creeping Terrors - https://youtu.be/QTv_XRaqXAI
Horror and feminism are the themes in The Creeping Terrors with a dark humour it is a strange mix of post punk/death rock with a RIOT GRRRLS twist. It is very rare to have a band that incorporate horror on a female and feminist point of view. We like to have an aggressive unapologetic sound, fast, short songs and very much full of punk influences. The sound is now getting darker and more sophisticated technically but the shouting and screaming will never end.
Prisoners Of Mother England - https://youtu.be/aa6AQkNGwo8
Alternative Rock/Punk Rock band Prisoners Of Mother England formed in 2015 in West Yorkshire by Bedderz, opened for the likes of Toyah, Hands off Gretel, Newtown Neurotics etc. Bedderz relocated to London town late 2015, 6 months later POME were back playing the London circuit.
Soho Dukes - https://youtu.be/6nhQrJOQah8
SOHO DUKES. They’ve spent a fortune in pubs. They scrub up nicely. They're not as bright as they think they are. The band’s origins can be traced back all the way back to 1982 when Johnny Barracuda (vocals) and 'Bomber' Randon (bass guitar) ambled into the back room of a boozer to make their stage debuts in a band that would eventually become Monterrez and - just five years later – provide the support act (twice!) for Guns N’ Roses at London’s legendary Marquee Club.
Zetra - https://youtu.be/F11K8zoY6Oc
ZETRA gestated in the stifling heatwave of Summer 2018. From behind locked doors and closed curtains, the duo of Adam (guitar and vocal) and Jordan (synthesiser and vocal) began writing songs that explore themes of isolation and introspective darkness. With a sound that subverts the traditional doom metal construct, they balance heavy fuzzed-out guitars with their own brand of sci-fi synthesisers and ethereal shoegaze vocal melody. ZETRA is a view into the abyss, turning an obsession with the blackness of Outer Space into a sound that could only come from the deepest chasms of Earth.
Kaprica - https://soundcloud.com/wearekaprica/enemy-within
Alternative, loud, and bordering a slight progressive vibe not to mention melodic + synth orientated. London/Essex based Kaprica is a group that prefers to let the noise ring out, relentlessly with their own embellished 'wall of sound' formidable tones.
High Viz Jackit Theory - www.facebook.com/highvizjackit
Stoke based punk rotters, fuelled by low cost carbonated beverages and an unquenchable thirst for chaos. An argument in a pub disguised as a band, made up of a shirtless recovering poet, a roadman with a music teacher for a dad, a pizza delivering cynic and a bottle of cheap wine with a beard.
Roadkill Records Summer Festival

Roadkill: Violet Haze w/ Circe & Fast Pop Music
Last night I went and photographed Roadkill Records event, for the next issue of my Full Frame Magazine
Roadkill Records are very proud to be hosting a special headline show from London's premiere synthwave retrofuturists Violet Haze. They've been wowing us with their Alex Cameron-esque grooves and scuzzy LA lounge epics for some time and we're proud to present a party for them on the May bank-holiday.
Support comes from ethereal dream-pop idol Circe and discordant indie upcomers Fast Pop Music.
Healthy Junkies and Towers of London rock The Monarch
Went to photograph Healthy Junkies upon request from Nina, well it was crazy, I had to stay to the side of the stage especially during Towers of London’s set, it was pure mayhem as the photos show. great fun though.
Towers of London - www.facebook.com/towersoflondonband
Towers Of London are a band that wear their influences of their hearts. 2019 sees them bending rock, alternative and indie into a melting pot, emerging with a brand new sound that defines them as a band that are inclusive to all kinds of music and exclusive of none. Their hedonistic reputation precedes them but they've grown into something more. The bands new dawn sees them here seeking to make a difference with the music they make. Rock and Roll, Spirit and Soul.
Healthy Junkies - www.facebook.com/healthyjunkiesband
Punk Rock / Grunge / Psychedelic phenomenon Healthy Junkies continue on their quest to stimulate and celebrate the great rock'n'roll lifestyle. Promoting their 4th studio album out now on Cargo Records, they will be performing new songs off the album along with old faves in their own unique way. Expect melodic chaos and theatrical mayhem...

On the winning song, Dave Stewart said: “The gentle piano approach to the song is alluring, the second verse in this song is lyrically strong, honest and compelling with her vocal intensifying just enough to feel her anger and get the listener emotionally involved. I chose this song because of the honesty in the vocals and the lyrics mixed with the minimalist approach to the recording, God is there in the space between the notes.“
